MBM is a Middle Button Manager. It maps the middle button of a
three-button mouse into a "shift-click". Since many tools, including
2.0 intuition and gadtools, support an extra meaning when
shift-clicked, this makes those operations more convenient. Extended
selection and window-to-back are my personal favorites.
MBM also provides two "hot buttons" on the mouse. They are reached by
holding down the middle button and clicking the left or right mouse
button. Note that the first click does get passed through, so be
carefull of where you make it. These two commands are issued as CLI
command, the string in question being given by the LEFTCOMMAND and
RIGHTCOMMAND tooltypes.
Switcher is designed to be used as a "hot button" utility. It brings
up a list of open screens and titled windows under the mouse. Screens
are noted by a right chevron at the left of the list. Clicking on a
screen brings that screen to the front, without changing the ordering
of windows on it. Clicking on a window brings the screen it is on (the
first screen above it in the list) to the front fo the display, then
brings that window to the front of the screen. Switcher is
residentable, and if you use it on a hot button, should be made
resident.
*RUNNING SWITCHER FROM THE WB WILL PROBABLY CRASH YOUR MACHINE*
